Matthias König has more than 25 years’ experience as a managing director and CEO in the manufacturing industry. During this time, he has acquired extensive knowledge and experience in managing business development, performance improvement and turnaround processes, and has successfully applied this expertise. During this time, he has repeatedly made significant contributions to increasing value and securing the long-term viability of companies. For more than 10 years, he has been the owner of the boutique consultancy prodatio consulting.
He gained experience in family-owned companies, publicly listed companies and portfolio companies of private equity firms. He was involved in numerous M&A projects. Alongside the development and implementation of new strategies for markets, products, technologies and locations, securing financing was always a key priority. Through organisational development, the strategies devised and the outcomes of change processes were consolidated and firmly embedded within the companies.
In his operational role, he gained extensive experience in sales, working with national and international key accounts, as well as in strategic and operational marketing. It was often the case that the procedural and structural reorganisation of complex production facilities utilising technologies for processing wood, glass, steel, aluminium, plastics or concrete formed an important basis for success.
Since 2010, Mr König has been working on all aspects of sustainability in the construction industry.
Mr König holds a university degree in Economics and Business Informatics, and studied Business Administration, Marketing, Corporate Management and Controlling whilst working. He is a certified sustainability manager.
In addition to his consultancy work, he serves on advisory boards and regularly publishes articles in specialist media on current management issues. As a business angel, he supports young entrepreneurs in bringing their business ideas to fruition.
