Eckart Achauer studied law and business administration, followed by postgraduate studies leading to a Master of Business Administration (MBA). He undertook further professional development alongside his work to qualify as a European Quality Manager (DGQ), a mediator specialising in commercial mediation, and a Certified Compliance Manager (TÜV).

He spent around 10 years in the international insurance industry, holding various management positions within a Swiss insurance group (claims department, sales, assistance), before moving into management and business consultancy in 1997.

As a consultant and managing director of various consultancy firms, Mr Achauer has specialised in organisational and process optimisation, as well as in the development and implementation of management systems – quality management, risk management and compliance management.

At SENATOR, Mr Achauer is responsible for the Compliance Management division. As part of compliance audits, he analyses organisations„ “compliance fitness’, raises awareness and provides training for management, executives and staff, and supports companies in developing and implementing bespoke compliance management systems. In doing so, he always takes into account the specific risk profile of each company. Thanks to his many years’ experience as a manager and consultant, he is thoroughly familiar with the practical challenges faced by businesses.

Matthias Barhainski is a partner in our centres of expertise for Automotive & E-Mobility, Construction / Technical Building Services (TGA) / Facility Management (FM) and Mechanical Engineering.
He is also our specialist in the areas of aptitude assessment and onboarding. He has also been involved in management audits and organisational development projects.

After completing his degree in business administration at the University of Passau, Matthias Barhainski joined a small recruitment consultancy in Munich that operated across various sectors and at different levels. There, he learnt the ropes of the recruitment consultancy trade from the ground up.
He began by sourcing suitable candidates in his role as a researcher/recruiter, and later went on to build up research teams and lead them as Head of Research. This has enabled him to acquire a broad knowledge of many sectors and roles, and he always knows where to find the right people for a vacancy.
At the same time, he began to build up a client network and secure his own clients, which shifted his focus even more towards his clients’ needs.

He gained this experience whilst working for a Germany-wide recruitment consultancy group specialising in technical roles (engineering positions) and has been with SENATOR since the very beginning.

Drawing on his wealth of experience in filling both technical and commercial roles, Mr Matthias Barhainski provides his clients with targeted support in their staff selection and recruitment processes. He guides candidates competently, empathetically and confidentially as they embark on new challenges and careers.

His approach is based on the principle of finding not just the candidate with the right professional qualifications for his clients, but the right person for the job.

After completing her degree in Economics in Regensburg, Eva Becker began her career in client relations at one of the leading providers of financial technology, financial market data and infrastructure. Over a period of more than 20 years, as a Key Account Manager in the investment banking and asset management sectors, she played a key role in shaping her clients’ paths. In this role, she gained valuable experience in developing and implementing innovative solutions that accelerated her clients’ business growth in the areas of portfolio management, investment banking and wealth management. She stands out for her unique ability to combine solution-oriented expertise with sector-specific know-how.

As a partner, Eva Becker specialises in high-profile assignments in the financial services sector, with a particular focus on asset and wealth management. She is driven by her passion for matching outstanding talent with organisations that value their skills and expertise.

After completing a banking apprenticeship and studying law in Munich and business management in St Gallen, Oliver Becker began his professional career as a solicitor specialising in M&A and private equity at a leading law and tax consultancy firm.

He then moved to the investment management division of a major international bank. He subsequently took over as managing director of a medium-sized investment company.

Oliver Becker has been working as a recruitment consultant since 2011. He mainly advises clients in the asset management sector and the family office sector.

As well as executive search, his passion lies in interim management, for which he is responsible within the Senator Partners network and acts as the point of contact for both partners and clients. As a partner, Andreas Berger works primarily within the Consumer Goods, Retail and Services, and Digital and Online Business centres of expertise.

On a functional level, his clients value him as a generalist who delivers impressive results across all functions and levels. As a marketing professional with many years’ experience, he naturally feels particularly at home in the fields of marketing and sales, but also values all other functional areas. In addition to traditional executive search, Andreas Berger has an interest in aptitude assessment and has contributed to management audits in the retail sector on behalf of Senator.

Andreas Berger studied business administration, specialising in commerce and industry, at the renowned Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. After successfully completing his degree in business administration, he began his career in the international sporting goods industry.

His move into the clothing and branded goods industry was followed by several busy years in marketing and product management, characterised by successful product launches, high-turnover point-of-sale promotions and award-winning advertising campaigns. Being responsible for the marketing of a fashion retail chain brought with it not only in-depth retail expertise but also experience in construction and shopfitting. Through his own online shop, he was able to play an active part in the early days of e-commerce.

After the turn of the millennium, Andreas Berger decided to put his interest in people and his entrepreneurial spirit to good use as a management consultant. Following a successful decade at two renowned executive search firms, he found the ideal platform for his consultancy work at SENATOR in 2015.

Today, Andreas Berger primarily advises medium-sized clients from the branded goods and lifestyle-oriented manufacturing and retail sectors, as well as related service providers, right through to construction planning. In addition, he advises companies across various sectors that are adapting their business models and corporate culture to the demands of the digital and interconnected world.

Drawing on his many years of experience, expertise, empathy and perseverance, he supports clients and candidates on the often challenging journey of reconciling their requirements, needs and aspirations. As a result, trusting relationships have developed over the years, through which candidates have sometimes become clients and former clients have become candidates.
