Dr Armin Betz founded the company in 1994 and has been a member of the Executive Board since 1996. HR Consult Group AG. His focus is on building networks and collaborative models, as demonstrated on a daily basis through the PERSONAL TOTAL and SENATOR brands. He supports the ongoing development of systems and processes within the HR consultancy sector. Many of the innovations developed by HR Consult Group AG have now become standard practice in the HR consultancy sector. The knowledge the group has accumulated over the past decades is distilled into training courses and seminars, enabling comprehensive and well-founded Training to become a recruitment consultant, which is certainly unique in Germany. With more than 250 successfully trained recruitment consultants, this constitutes a USP within the German recruitment consultancy sector.

He has now been working in HR consultancy for more than 25 years and is therefore one of the most experienced HR consultants in Germany. His consultancy work focuses on the automotive and mechanical engineering sectors, particularly e-mobility and renewable energy. The areas of human resources and Suitability diagnostics round off his profile as a consultant.

For several years, he has been working as a visiting lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Landshut, specialising in aptitude assessment and the latest developments in this field. He also lectures as a part-time lecturer at the Fresenius University of Applied Sciences in Munich, covering topics such as the latest HR trends, state-of-the-art recruitment methods and potential analyses.

His PhD in the field of aptitude assessment perfectly complements his areas of expertise, particularly with regard to HR and management consultancy. The thesis focuses on identifying and demonstrating typical personality traits of engineers, as well as defining areas for development to ensure a successful career. These are covered in the book „Aptitude Testing in Practical Application“ scientifically derived and presented.

Before setting up his own business, Dr Betz worked in product marketing and marketing strategy at a leading German car manufacturer.

Having completed his degree in automotive engineering and industrial engineering, he began his professional career in the automotive industry, working in sales, development and marketing, and also spent a year in Japan with one of the largest automotive suppliers.

After successfully completing his degree in Control and Automation Engineering at Darmstadt University of Technology, Alexander Bodensohn began his professional career in the R&D sector of the electrical industry. He initially worked in the fields of displays and „smart power“ components. He then moved into the automotive industry, where he was involved in strategic and operational technology planning. For several years, he served as research programme manager for the global „Rail Technology“ research programme at a major technology group. He also played a key role in establishing the „Sensotronic & Microsystems“ division for automotive applications. Last but not least, Mr Bodensohn was tasked with setting up and managing a division dedicated to ensuring reliability in motor vehicles and vehicle production.

In 2007, he founded his own management and recruitment consultancy, through which he has since been successfully placing experts and senior executives. The focus here is on identifying experts and executives in very tight candidate markets. His clients benefit from a continuously expanding and well-maintained network within the relevant industry and scientific community – such as in the fields of advanced battery technologies and autonomous driving.

As a qualified engineer and a manager with a long and successful track record, he is not only highly regarded by candidates and clients, but also supports senior management in their recruitment decisions.

Udo Brauer began his professional career in the sales department of a German premium car manufacturer. His career path took him through various management roles in sales and marketing, culminating in positions as regional and branch manager at a wide range of factory and corporate sites.

After more than 22 years in industry, he moved into recruitment consultancy in 2004, initially as a senior consultant and subsequently as branch manager and managing director.

At SENATOR, he has been drawing on his wide-ranging expertise since 2008 to support primarily medium-sized companies in the mechanical and plant engineering, automotive, defence and aerospace sectors, as well as the automotive retail sector, in filling specialist and management roles.

In addition, he also specialises in management audits, organisational development and aptitude assessments.

Dr Peter Buhl is an expert in leadership development. He supports entrepreneurs, executives and management teams through change processes that are critical to success. He advises in-house human resources development departments on the design of training programmes, devises and leads leadership programmes, and supports executives, management teams and parties involved in conflicts through individual coaching.

Dr Buhl brings to his role entrepreneurial experience as CFO of a start-up, as well as over 14 years’ management experience – including at C-level. As a systemic coach and systemic organisational consultant, he is able to provide his clients with in-depth consultancy expertise. As an economist with a wide range of leadership and sector-specific experience on the one hand, and as a psychotherapist (HPG) on the other, he is able to navigate confidently the tension between results-oriented and person-centred leadership, and to identify individual success strategies for his clients that are appropriate to each situation.

At SENATOR, Dr Buhl oversees the areas of onboarding and coaching.
