Robert T. Heinemann began his career in public service, working for more than 10 years in a district government before moving to Bielefeld University as head of the law faculty. During this time, he also taught part-time, particularly in legal subjects. His next career move took him into banking, where he worked for 15 years in both the public and private banking sectors. During these years, Robert T. Heinemann gained significant international experience in Europe, Asia, and America. In the early 2000s, he was SEVP & CEO of a German bank's branch in London.

 

He has been working in the field of human resources/people & culture for more than three decades. Fifteen years ago, he founded his own consulting firm based in Munich. Robert T. Heinemann's consulting focus is on HR strategy consulting for medium-sized companies, most of which also operate internationally. Previous mandates have taken him to many European countries, Asia, Africa, and America. Since 2023, he has been using a Culture of Innovation Surveyto measure the innovative capacity and strength of companies. With this approach, he helps his clients to focus much more on innovation in order to become more attractive as employers and to demonstrably retain more talent and attract new talent to the company.

 

To this day, Robert T. Heinemann continues to take on interim mandates as CHRO/Global Head of HR in order to remain closely involved in the practical side of the business. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) with his consulting boutique, where he also serves as Chair of the HR Working Group. In 2021 and 2022, he worked for the global association as interim COO in Paris.

During his 15-year career in top management at the BMW Group (2002–2017), he held precisely those key positions that are particularly in demand today: strategy (product strategy for brands), brand positioning (BMW i), product development (BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce portfolio), communications (global and regional market launch and lifecycle campaigns), and sales (sales promotion measures to push vehicles). He developed sustainable KPI systems for dealer development and managed complex international projects such as the MINI United Festival and the IAA – challenges that many companies face today.

As Vice President of Marketing, Product & PR at Hyundai Motor Europe (since 2017), he demonstrated his flair for forward-thinking strategies with the highly acclaimed "Your turn Elon" campaign and the spectacular launch of the IONIQ 5 e-mobility series, in which 3,000 limited-edition vehicles sold out in just two minutes. Matthias König has more than 25 years of experience as a managing director and CEO in the manufacturing industry. During this time, he has acquired extensive knowledge and experience in managing business development, performance improvement, and turnaround processes, which he has successfully applied. During this period, he has made several significant contributions to increasing value and securing livelihoods. He has been the owner of the consulting boutique prodatio consulting for more than 10 years.

He gained experience in family-owned corporations, public companies, and portfolio companies of private equity firms. He has been involved in numerous M&A projects. In addition to developing and implementing new strategies for markets, products, technologies, and locations, securing financing has always been a key focus. Organizational development measures have enabled the strategies and results of change processes to be consolidated and permanently anchored in the companies.

In his operational activities, he gained extensive experience in sales with national and international key accounts as well as in strategic and operational marketing. The procedural and structural redesign of complex production facilities using wood, glass, steel, aluminum, plastic, or concrete processing technologies was often an important basis for success.

Since 2010, Mr. König has been dealing with all issues relating to sustainability in the construction industry.

Mr. König holds a university degree in economics and business informatics and studied business administration, marketing, corporate management, and controlling while working. He is a certified sustainability manager.

In addition to his consulting work, he serves on advisory boards and regularly publishes articles on current management issues in trade media. As a business angel, he supports young entrepreneurs in realizing their business ideas.
